Who Should Apply for These Shutdown Jobs?
These positions are ideal for professionals who have proven experience in oil & gas plant shutdowns, particularly on high‑priority turnaround activities where safety, quality and speed are critical. Candidates with exposure to Abu Dhabi projects or GCC environments will be in advantage. If you have coordinated multi‑discipline teams, closed work permits, managed isolation/normalization, or executed hot work under strict PTW systems, you fit well for this drive.
Key Responsibilities by Discipline
Mechanical & Foreman Roles: preparing detailed job packs, supervising mechanical works on static and rotating equipment, coordinating crafts, allocating manpower and tools, ensuring torqueing/boxing‑up, leak testing and reinstatement are completed as per plan.
Rigging Team: planning and executing safe lifts, preparing lift plans, sling selection, center‑of‑gravity checks, inspection of lifting gear, and coordination with mechanical groups for exchanger bundle pulls, vessel internals, column trays, and equipment replacement.
Planning & Area Coordination: creating look‑ahead schedules, tracking progress, updating daily dash boards, managing constraints, and supporting permits, scaffolding, insulation and access to achieve critical path milestones.
Quality (QA/QC): implementing ITPs, raising inspection requests, visual checks, dimensional verification, NDT coordination, pressure testing and documentation for handover dossiers.
HSE Team: conducting toolbox talks, job hazard analysis, line‑of‑fire controls, gas tests, confined‑space entry monitoring, incident reporting, and verifying compliance with ADNOC/Habshan standards.
Mandatory Documents for Shortlisting
- Updated CV mentioning shutdown/turnaround experience with project names and durations.
- Passport (valid), recent photos and all education/trade certificates.
- Experience letters, PTW approvals, training cards (H2S, Confined Space, Rigging, Lifting Supervisor, etc. if available).
- Any approvals from previous ADNOC / Abu Dhabi sites are a plus.

Selected candidates will work on a large‑scale Habshan facility under a structured shutdown schedule. Typical benefits on such projects include accommodation, transport and food arrangements as per company policy, job‑related PPE, and overtime as operationally required.
